Totally pissed off by The Haze
Totally pissed off by The HazeI had planned saturday so perfectly that i was looking forward to it since the beginning of the week. So what's the plan? 11am - 1pm: Tuition. 2pm - 5pm: Windsurfing. After 5pm: Jerry's birthday celebration. So why was i pissed? As the title suggests, it's the haze.
I got to the ECP seasports club at 2plus, only to realise i cannot make any rental from the office as the haze was so bad. It's their safety measures so i gladly accepted it, or rather i had to accept it. The only good thing was that i brought my Maths tutorial out, so i was doing my maths tutorial while enjoying the sea breeze.
What pissed me even more is the following direct small extract i read from this morning's Sunday's times(page 17):
"Call to move burning season to Febtuary"
PROFESSOR Azizan Abu Samah, of Universiti Malaya, said the haze situation could be resolved if Indonesia moved its burning season to February, when the north-east monsoon winds blow.
"It is still a dry period for them to clear the land by burning," he said.
Prof Azizan, who heads the department of geography, reasoned that with the north-east monsoon, the smoke will be blown away from Malaysian shores, unlike now, when smoke and dust particles invade many parts of Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak.
Okay, any comments anyone? i would say WTF! A PROF saying this shit? Hello... Isn't the issue about them burning the land? So stopping them is the solution! so what's up with his stupid suggestion of moving the burning season to February?? So he is just a selfish human who is happy so long the smoke doesn't affect his country eh?
